THE NETHERLANDS

The Netherlands are a small but attractive country of northern Europe and a recognized heaven for birds  and particularly wintering waterfowl. Indeed every winter, it is more than 2 million geese of several species which come and spread along the coasts and " Polders " of the country. And this is just to mention the most attractive group for the European birder, but besides that, the wintering avifauna is diverse and   very interesting, ranging from gulls to waders and passerines.

This short winter trip will give you the opportunity to observe many interesting species and far arctic breeders that are otherwise difficult to see.

During winter, many rare and accidental species originating mainly from the extreme east of Europe or Asia find refuge in northern Europe. This trip will also be an opportunity to look for its exciting rarities.
